When ironing cotton or linen, we recommend the rowenta focus iron DW5280. It takes only one or two passes to smooth out wrinkles. Although it performs an excellent job overall, there are instances when it bunches up the fabric instead of smoothly gliding over it. But it’s not as effective in removing typical wrinkles from silk, satin, and polyester.

Our Verdict
I would say that the Rowenta Focus DW5280 is a slightly above-average iron that possesses a number of wonderful characteristics as well as a few characteristics that are less than perfect. When we used it, we found that it worked wonderfully for cotton and linen materials, which it easily smoothed over.
It has one of our favorite spray features, which allows it to effortlessly cover a wide swath in front of the iron, and its small snout makes detailing work a breeze.
In spite of this, we were not pleased by its effectiveness on difficult fabrics such as silk and polyester. It had a tendency to expel droplets of water rather than a fine mist, which would have provided a boost to the steam.
Due to the fact that it does not have a well-rounded performance, this expensive iron is best suited for individuals who are seeking a model that can assist them with particular projects that are within the capabilities of the Focus DW5280.
